The church is dedicated to the Holy Trinity, and it is the second sanctuary of Karbi: about a kilometre separates it from the Virgin Mary church, and both stand in the built-up part of the village.

Karbi lies in Shida Kartli rather than Kvemo Kartli: this is a Gori district village in the foothills north-west of Gori, on the plain by the Liakhvi river. The neighbourhood is a border one, and although the distances here are short, it makes sense to plan the trip from Gori rather than from the Kvemo Kartli roads.

There is no fixed schedule of services and the site can be approached at any time. The rules are those of any working church: covered shoulders and knees, quiet inside and in the yard. Both churches of the village fit into one trip, and road conditions are worth checking before setting out: they change by season.
