The Kviratskhoveli church stands in Boshuri village in the west of Shida Kartli. The dedication is linked to Kviratskhovloba, the Georgian name for St. Thomas Sunday, the first Sunday after Easter.
Boshuri lies in the hills southwest of Gori, at the end of the road that runs out of the Ateni gorge. The church of the Virgin at Ormotsi stands less than a kilometre away.
