The church ruins stand in a field in Orojolari village in Ninotsminda Municipality, behind a low enclosure. The Armenian church is laid of tuff stones of varying size, the hall building is divided into three naves by a wooden arch, and the roof is hipped.

Medieval gravestones and a relief of a cross are set into the walls as reused material. An early medieval stele with ornament resembling pine needles is placed beneath the window of the east facade.

The most valuable find here has already moved on: a large relief of the 10th century showing an angel and a donor was set into the east wall and is now kept in the Vardzia museum reserve. Carved inscriptions with names and a prayer address accompany the images. The church was lit by wide arched and rectangular windows, the sanctuary is semicircular and raised, and there are no side chambers.
