Surb Nerses Mets stands in Satkhe village in Ninotsminda Municipality. The Armenian church was built directly onto the south wall of a Georgian church of the year 1065, and the most valuable stones here come from that church.
A large relief slab from the facade of the Georgian church is set into the interior: it shows the Virgin with the Child in the garden of Eden, with a long inscription in Georgian running beside it. The inscription commemorates those buried there and adjures the reader not to undo what was done, promising judgement on anyone who does.
Construction of the Armenian church was completed in 1877, as recorded by an Armenian inscription to the right of the west door that commemorates a donor. The building is laid of tuff, and the facades are dressed with carving taken from the Georgian church: the east window is framed by double arched surrounds and a fragment of a door frame is set into the northern corner of the same wall.
