The church in Kvabiskhevi bears the name of St Kvirike, a martyr venerated in the Georgian tradition together with his mother Ivlita. The church remains the parish sanctuary of the village.
Kvabiskhevi lies in the Borjomi gorge west of the resort, right by the border of the national park. Dense forest surrounds it, and mountain trails start from the village.
Services follow the church calendar; on weekdays the church may be closed. Choose modest dress for a visit.
