The Kviratskhoveli church stands on a flat shelf of a high mountain, on the site of an old village, in Borjomi Municipality. It is an early medieval hall church, and the masonry makes the main impression here: stones of varying size, some of them enormous, and of varying colour are fitted to one another so precisely that the wall looks assembled rather than laid.
The walls rest on a single step plinth and a rectangular side chapel partly survives on the south. Inside there is a single hall space, the entrance is low and carries an architrave, cut at the centre of the south wall, and an arched window sits in the west wall.
On the east a semicircular apse holds an arched window at its centre, its conch drawn in large, perfectly fitted ashlars. An altar stone stands in the sanctuary with a rectangular slab bearing the image of a cross laid on it, and a three step stair leads up to the solea. The floor, the stair and the sanctuary have recently been faced with tile.
