The small church in Khorenia village in Akhalkalaki Municipality is listed in the national category and sources date it to the 13th and 14th centuries. The building is laid of hewn stone with a window cut on the east.
The entrance is made in the south wall and framed by a large stone that looks out of proportion for so small a church. The only ornament of the south facade is a cross in the second course of masonry from the bottom, near the right edge.
Inside, the space narrows gradually towards the top through the hewn walls, a capital seems to hang above the door, and the covering is noticeably massive for so small a volume. The old stone floor survives.
