Gogichaant Gheli is an old settlement by the village of Chobiskhevi: a complex of stone darbazi halls with the ruins of a church of St. George. A darbazi is an ancient Georgian stone hall with a stepped vault and a light opening at its top.
The place lies in the mountain part of Borjomi municipality, seven or eight kilometres from Borjomi. Around it are the wooded slopes of the Borjomi gorge; the nearest village shrines, the churches of Dviri, stand three and a half kilometres away.
This is a monument rather than a working church: examine the masonry with care, take nothing apart and nothing away. Sturdy shoes are worth having; follow the coordinates.
