The Bolajuri church is the ruin of an old church in Bolajuri village of Adigeni Municipality. Stone traces of the building survive, and the place will please those who love finding the past without signposts, fences or tickets.
People reach it deliberately: for the quiet of the Potskhovi valley and the sense of time in the old masonry. The village also has a working parish church of St. George: the old and the new churches stand a few hundred metres apart and read as one story of continuity. The turn off the main road is short, then on foot along the village street.
The ruins are seen in the open air at any time: there are no regular services here. The masonry needs care: no climbing on the walls and no shifting of stones.
