Of the church of St. Elijah in the Svan village of Lahili only ruins remain. The shrine also carries a second name, Ieli; such double names are common in Svaneti, where one comes from the dedication and the other from the place.
Lahili is a village on the upper Enguri where three shrines stand within a short stretch: three hundred metres away is the church of St. George, and a little further the ruins of the Lamaria Marian church. A kilometre off, in Kvanchianari, works a church of the Archangel.
Treat the ruins with care: do not take the masonry apart and leave no traces. The site can be visited at any time; follow the coordinates.
