The church is dedicated to the Archangel and bears the name Lajani. No village is attached to the place, and in Lechkhumi such parishes usually belonged not to one hamlet but to a whole part of the slope: the name of the tract held firmer than that of the nearest yards.
The place lies six kilometres from Tsageri, in the mountains above the Tskhenistskali valley. The neighbours around: the synagogue of Lailashi about two and a half kilometres away, the Gregorian church of the same village beside it, the place of Gudulashi four kilometres, the nameless church of Dekhviri five.
There are no signposts here, so follow the coordinates. The road is a mountain track, unpaved and slippery in the rain. The building is viewed from outside, and getting in is not always possible. Dress modestly, keep voices low and leave offerings untouched.
