The place has a single name: Gudulashi. What it means is not explained, while the village itself is called Usakhelo, and that word in Georgian means nameless. A place with an unexplained name in a village so called turns out doubly unnamed.

Usakhelo lies seven and a half kilometres from Tsageri, in the mountains above the Tskhenistskali valley. The neighbours are scattered around: the ruins of Shkhudala about three kilometres away, the salotsavi of Shkhudali three and a half, the church of Lajani four, the synagogue and the Gregorian church of Lailashi a little over four.

The road is a mountain one, the last kilometres unpaved and soft in the rain. The building is viewed from outside, nothing is moved and nothing taken away. Dress modestly and keep voices low. Lechkhumi is damp and the grass on the slopes stays wet most of the year.
