The name of this church is a single word: church. No dedication and no second name stand behind it, and in Lechkhumi such nameless places are frequent, especially where a parish has long been out of use.
Dekhviri lies two and a half kilometres from Tsageri, the administrative centre of Lechkhumi. Neighbours are enough around: the Lasuriashi monastery stands about two kilometres away, the Dormition church in Tsageri itself three, the church of the Virgin at Kveda Lukhvano a little over four.
The place is near the town and the road is easy and passable all year. The building is viewed from outside, and getting in is not always possible. Lechkhumi is damp, the grass around is wet for most of the year, so closed shoes are better. Tsageri is close, and the visit fits into a trip to the town and the monastery.
