A small church in Dzegvi stands without a name or a dedication: in the village it is called just that, the church.
Dzegvi lies on the Mtkvari between Mtskheta and Kaspi, and there are unusually many churches here: a Marian church about five hundred metres away, the Trinity nine hundred, the All Holy and Our Lady of Dzegvi a little over a kilometre off. In the village and its district they come to more than a dozen.
The church is rural and its gates are opened by arrangement. The rules are the usual ones: covered shoulders and knees, a headscarf for women, quiet. The churches of Dzegvi stand close together and carry similar names, so it is safer to steer by the coordinates.
