The Dzegvi church is known by two close names, the All Holy and of All Saints. The words differ in shade and both are in everyday use, though one and the same church is meant.
The church of St George in the village stands about seven hundred metres away, the great church of St George nine hundred and fifty, the unnamed village church a kilometre off. Dzegvi stretches along the Mtkvari between Mtskheta and Kaspi.
The church is rural and its gates are opened by arrangement, and the village will point you to the right person. The rules are the usual ones: covered shoulders and knees, a headscarf for women, quiet. The village holds more than a dozen churches, all of them close, so steer by the coordinates.
