The Trinity church of Dzegvi is known as the great church of the Trinity as well. In Georgian villages a dedication to the Holy Trinity more often belongs to monasteries and large churches than to small parish ones.
The ground is crowded around: the Marian church with the byname of the Door stands about four hundred metres away, another Marian church a little closer, and the unnamed village church nine hundred metres off. Dzegvi stretches along the Mtkvari between Mtskheta and Kaspi.
The church is rural and its gates are opened by arrangement. The rules are the usual ones: covered shoulders and knees, a headscarf for women, quiet. The neighbouring churches stand a few hundred metres away, so steer by the coordinates.
