The Marian church of Dzegvi is known by two names: besides the Dzegvi one it carries a second, Our Lady of the Door. What door is meant is not explained in the village.
There are many churches around: the Trinity of Dzegvi stands about four hundred and fifty metres away, another Marian church six hundred and sixty, the unnamed village church a kilometre off. Dzegvi itself lies on the Mtkvari between Mtskheta and Kaspi.
The church is rural and its gates are opened by arrangement. The rules are the usual ones: covered shoulders and knees, a headscarf for women, quiet. Dzegvi holds several Marian churches with similar names, so steer by the coordinates.
