The nameless church of Orkhevi is an old church in the ravines west of Tsikhisdziri, whose dedication was never established. Even the name itself admits honestly: little is known about the church, and that honesty has a tone of its own: no legends, no datings, only the stone and the place.
For a traveller-explorer such places are almost more interesting than the famous ones: old masonry without a biography, the Orkhevi locality, which in Georgian means two ravines, and full freedom for one’s own guesses. Here come those who love putting questions to the past, even when left without answers. From the village it is a quarter of an hour at an easy pace.
The church is seen freely, at any time: there are no services here. The masonry needs care, and the ravines ask for a careful step, especially after rain.
