A site in the village of Chilurti, known simply by the village name. What it is cannot be said with certainty: on one hand an Orthodox attribution is attached to it, on the other it is described as a village meeting place rather than a church. It may be a village shrine, or a hall where the community gathers.
Chilurti lies south-west of Dusheti, in the foothills reached by a turning off the district road. For a village away from the main roads the site is prominent and clearly matters: people come here regularly and everyone in the district knows it. No one names a date for its appearance.
Before setting out it is worth asking about the site in the village itself: that way you will know what to expect. The approach is a village road, and in the off season a dry day is the better choice. Behave here as at a holy place: quietly and touching nothing.
