The ruins of the church on Mount Tsotsola lie near Patara Darbazi village in Marneuli Municipality. The rectangular hall of about six and a half metres by five is laid of golden limestone, with both large ashlars and broken stone going into the work, so the masonry came out uneven.
There are three windows, in the east, west and south walls, and a cross is carved on the lower edge of the east opening. The door is cut in the western part of the north wall. The apse is separated from the hall by a small projection in the lower part of the wall, and a wide arch divides the conch from the vault, with fragments of plaster still on its surface.
A rectangular niche is cut in each side wall of the apse. Brackets on the side walls of the hall served as supports for the arch, though no relieving arches remain on the surviving stretches of the vault. Traces of buildings buried in earth can be read in the yard, and the church itself is fenced. Sources assign it to the late Middle Ages.
