The naeklesiari in the Sunukhgorgi locality stands on a hill by the Getistskali river, in the area of Darbazi village in Bolnisi Municipality. The hall building is laid of roughly worked stone, while polished blocks were picked out for the corners and the structural details.
The entrance was on the south, but that spot has collapsed entirely. The semicircular apse was divided by arches, only the southern niche is visible, and whether there was an east window is not known. The surviving carving of the west wall window shows that the opening was narrow and widened slightly towards the interior. The roof was tiled and its fragments are still scattered around the perimeter.
According to old records, a stone with a two line Asomtavruli inscription was set into the facade to the left of the church door. It cannot be seen today and may have gone under the rubble. The church is badly damaged, and traces of a cemetery and a settlement survive around it. Sources place the building in the span from the 10th to the 15th century.
