A church of Saint George known by the name Mgliskri. Its state is described in different ways, in one place as a working church and in another as ruins, and only an inspection will show what stands there today.
The place lies in the far south of the region, in the Akhkerpi area, by the state border. The nearest neighbour, the Khorakert monastic complex, stands about two kilometres away, and the church of the Mother of God of Verkhviani at three and a half.
The area is close to the border, and the state of the access roads and the order of travel are best found out in advance. Come expecting to see it from outside and treat the masonry with care if part of the walls is lost.
