The sakdari of the Shermazana nasoplari lies on a right tributary of the Poladauri, at Khertvisi. From the inscription on the neighbouring main church and the place name on the map of Vakhushti, the village of Shamirza, also known as Shermazana, stood here in the 17th and 18th centuries.

The building is very small, about five and a half metres by three and a half, laid of various kinds of stone on mortar. The entrance is made in the corner of the south wall, the windows of the east and south walls are arched, the west one has not survived, and the details of the cornice and roof are unknown.

A flattened semicircular apse is separated by a side wall carrying an incomplete hemispherical arch of the conch. The window is cut fairly high and has collapsed from above, with wide arched niches on either side. Traces of a settlement lie around, and judging by its size this was a small village church beside the larger one nearby.
