The church is dedicated to the Archangels and is left from a village known by two names at once: Khoireti and Koreti. Both live on in local speech, and neither has driven the other out.
It stands near Avranlo, in the western part of the Tsalka plateau. Avranlo is itself an old Greek village, and around it lie nasoplari, abandoned villages of which only the churches survive. The nearest described shrines, the chapels of Rekha, are some four kilometres away.
There are no regular services and the church can be approached at any time. The road runs across the plateau, drifts over in winter, and is best avoided during snowfall.
