The chapel of Saint Basil stands about two hundred metres northwest of the village clinic in Avranlo. The landmark is simple and the chapel is easy to find.
The building is laid of roughly worked stone with a semicircular apse adjoining it on the east. The entrance is made on the south side and the roof is tiled. There is no extra decoration here, and that is its character.
Sources assign the chapel to the late twentieth century. It belongs to the dozen Avranlo chapels raised by the villagers in the last decades of the century, each with its own dedication.
