This is the second church ruin of Arjevan Sarvani: it stands in the southwestern part of the village, about four hundred metres from the first. There is no roof, and part of the walls and the foundation survive.
The village also has the Imam Husayn mosque and a Saint George naeklesiari, so sites of two traditions meet in a small area. Such an arrangement is typical of Kvemo Kartli villages, where Georgians and Azerbaijanis have lived side by side for centuries. The area is hilly and the roads between villages are short.
Do not move objects left by the walls. The site remains part of the everyday life of the area, and that deserves respect.
