The church of the Virgin stands in the southern part of Vachnadziani and completes the round of church buildings in the village: four here.
The other three are the Kashueti church, whose name echoes the Tbilisi church on Rustaveli Avenue, and two churches of Saint George, one carrying the qualifier Amidasturi and the other distinguished only by its position. Four buildings in one village is a lot for Kakheti. Vachnadziani lies north-west of Gurjaani, along the road towards Telavi.
A village church may keep no fixed schedule; service times are learned on site. All four sites can be walked in about an hour. Dress with shoulders and knees covered, a headscarf for women.
