The Kashueti church stands in Vachnadziani. The name immediately calls to mind the Kashveti church on Rustaveli Avenue in Tbilisi, and this is worth stating plainly: this is a different church, rural and in no way connected with the capital one. The name recurs in Kakheti.
In Gurjaani itself, some twenty kilometres away, stands another church of the same name, and a third, spelled Kvashveti, is found in Ziari to the south. Vachnadziani lies north-west of Gurjaani, along the road towards Telavi. Besides Kashueti it holds three more church buildings: two of Saint George, one carrying the qualifier Amidasturi, and one of the Virgin in the southern part.
The yard is freely open; inside is entered for a service or by arrangement. Dress with shoulders and knees covered, a headscarf for women, and speak quietly on the grounds.
