The church is dedicated to Saint George, and what distinguishes it from the neighbouring church of the same dedication is a qualifier in the name: in Gujiaurebi. That is how a locality or a quarter is marked, and without it two churches two hundred metres apart would be indistinguishable.
It stands in the northern part of a dense cluster on the Kalauri lands, north of Gurjaani. Three sanctuaries fit within three hundred metres here: two Saint George churches and a village church without a dedication. All around is plain with vineyards and fields.
There is no fixed schedule of services and the site can be approached at any time. The whole cluster can be walked in ten minutes, and the churches are easiest to tell apart on the ground, by their position. The rules are those of any working church: covered shoulders and knees, quiet.
