The site is unusual even for the crowded Cheremi: it is neither a church nor a chapel but a niche, a small form of prayer. It stands at a naeklesiari, that is at a place where a church once was, and is dedicated to Saint Tevdore.
Cheremi lies south-east of Sagarejo, at the foot of the Gombori range, and holds more than a dozen churches, from an episcopal cathedral to a family salotsavi. The niche stands in the upper part of the village, among its other sanctuaries.
A place like this keeps no schedule, and it can be approached at any time. The scale is modest and seeing it takes only minutes, so it is sensible to fold it into a wider route through Cheremi. Treat the place with care: for the village a naeklesiari means no less than a working church.
