The church of Saint George stands in the northern part of Jimiti and completes the round of church buildings in the village: three here, all within walking distance.
The other two are the church of the Virgin and the Kviratskhoveli church in the upper part, dedicated to the Resurrection of Christ. Jimiti lies south of Gurjaani, in the foothills, reached by a road off the highway that runs unpaved in places. Orchards and fields stretch around, and to the north the Alazani valley opens up with the Caucasus range beyond.
The grounds are open around the clock, meaning free access to the churchyard. All three sites can be walked in about an hour at an unhurried pace. Dress with shoulders and knees covered, a headscarf for women.
