The name of this church carries two toponyms at once, Darchieti and Shroshanauli, and the word sakdari. In Kakheti a sakdari means a village or family church, and such churches often bear the name of a family or a locality rather than of a saint. That is the case here: no dedication is given for the church.
It stands at the edge of Jimiti, a village on the Gurjaani plain, away from the residential streets. Jimiti is small, yet it holds several church sites, and they can be covered in a single walk: besides this one there is a Virgin Mary church, a Kviratskhoveli and a church of Saint George. Gurjaani is about nine kilometres away.
There are no regular services here, so the church can be approached at any time. The village lies on flat ground, the tracks between the sites are easy, and any footwear will do. Step inside quietly, and if the church is locked it is easy enough to see from the outside.
