The north-eastern Marian church of Chumlaki is the second Marian building of the village, standing almost a kilometre from its central namesake, nearer the road to Gurjaani.
The full Chumlaki set looks like this: two Marian churches, one of St. George, one of a Martyr, two family churches and Kvelatsminda. Seven buildings are scattered over about two and a half kilometres, and that is a route for a car rather than a walk. By Kakhetian standards such density is phenomenal.
Mariamoba at the end of August remains the main day of both Marian churches. No dating has become attached to the building. Dress soberly, women bring a headscarf. Gurjaani is a few minutes away.
