The church is dedicated to the Resurrection, Kviratskhoveli in Georgian. This is another church of the Kuchatani cluster: about a hundred metres separate it from the Virgin Mary church, and even less from the church of Saint George.
Such density is unusual even for Kakheti: three churches with three different dedications fit within a hundred and twenty metres. Kuchatani lies west of Kvareli, among the vineyards of the Kvareli neighbourhood, at the foot of the foothills.
There is no fixed schedule of services and the site can be approached at any time. The whole cluster can be walked in a few minutes, and it makes sense to leave the car at the other church and continue on foot. The rules are those of any working church: covered shoulders and knees, quiet inside.
