Kviratskhoveli is the Georgian name of the feast of the Resurrection. The church is known as the Khodasheni one, while it stands on lands where Atsquri, Zemo Khodasheni and Khodasheni meet: the boundaries between them cannot be read by eye, and the names interweave here.
The setting is a foothill one, west of Telavi, in the Akhmeta municipality. Less than half a kilometre away is a church of Saint George, and to the south, about five kilometres off, the Zemo Khodasheni nunnery. All three sites stand in one neighbourhood, among hills and fields.
This church has round the clock access, which is rare for foothill villages: it can be approached at any hour. The rules are those of any working church: covered shoulders and knees, quiet. The three sanctuaries of the neighbourhood can be driven round in about an hour.
