The church of the Virgin Mary stands in Kisiskhevi village of Telavi Municipality. The church is also known by a second name, Kveladtsminda, but the Marian dedication is the one that has settled.
Kisiskhevi lies at the foot of the Tsiv-Gombori range, among the vineyards of the Alazani valley. A hundred steps away stands the church of the Nativity of St. John the Baptist, and the Bakhutaant church is in the family quarter of the village.
Visiting is free, and modest clothing is appropriate for a service. If the church is closed, locals will tell you when services are held.
