The hall church of Saint George stands in Chkhari in Terjola Municipality. The building is about thirteen metres long and eight wide, with walls almost a metre thick and masonry of well worked stone.
There are three doors, on three sides, and the floor is laid with stone slabs. Inside, the traces of rebuilding and restoration carried out in modern times are clearly visible: the renewed stretches of masonry differ from the old ones.
Sources assign the church to the Middle Ages, the broad span from the 4th to the 18th century, and lists it as a cultural heritage monument. The church is active.
