A parish church of the Saviour. The name Chorvila appears for the third time in this list: first in the name of the church of the Thirteen Assyrian Fathers, which stands in Modzvi, now here by Gorisa, and nearby at the church of Saint Marine.
Such a divergence between name and place has turned out to be ordinary in eastern Imereti: an old church name is often wider than a modern village boundary and holds to a whole district. Gorisa lies in eastern Imereti, on the road towards Sachkhere. The century of building is not established.
The parish is rural and services follow the church year. Dress modestly, women wear a headscarf. The three Chorvila churches are easy to cover in one trip.
