"Pearl of Georgia" – article about Tbilisi from Arab News
An article published in the well-known Arab News publication, the title of which translates as "The Pearl of Georgia: a trip to Tbilisi", tells about the tourist attractions of the capital of Georgia. The publication, which is one of the most popular in Saudi Arabia and the Persian Gulf countries, shared its impressions of visiting Tbilisi.
The author of the article visited Georgia at the invitation of the National Tourism Administration as part of a press tour. Visitors from the Persian Gulf countries, including residents of Saudi Arabia in 79%, are regular visitors to Georgia. Upon their arrival in Tbilisi, which takes 3.5 hours of flight, tourists find themselves at a unique crossroads of European and Asian cultures, which give this country a very special character.
The article notes that on Rustaveli Avenue, which is the center of Tbilisi, you can see an unusual combination of neoclassical and Moorish architecture, as well as buildings that reflect the Soviet era and have successfully undergone a metamorphosis, turning into cafes and creative spaces. One of the main attractions for tourists, in addition to the rich cultural heritage, is the possibility of active recreation in the Caucasus Mountains, where snowboarders and skiers find their adventure most of the year.
The article also highlights the hospitality of the locals and the opportunity to enjoy delicious dishes and informal conversation with the local population. Among the attractions presented in the article, Arab News mentioned the Metekhi Temple, the historical district of Abanotubani, the Narikala Fortress and the Botanical Garden.
Abanotubani is located under the Narikala Fortress, a place where six religious institutions are located: the Georgian Orthodox and Catholic Churches, the Armenian-Gregorian Cathedral, the Juma Mosque, the Great Synagogue and the no longer existing Zoroastrian Temple of Fire Atashgah. This fact was especially interesting to the author of the article.
About 9 million subscribers of the publication on social networks became interested in the Arab News article. The publication is widely popular in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Bahrain and Oman.

Следует отметить, что статья может серьезно поднять авторитет Грузии в странах Востока. Кстати, статью уже прочитали около 9 миллионов подписчиков издания. Возможно, все они в скором времени отправятся отдыхать в Грузию.
