A royal tomb of the XVI century was found in Kakheti .
During an archaeological expedition to Hermi, the staff of the National Museum found the burial of the Georgian king Levan Bagrationi (1504-1574).
During the reign of the descendant of George II, the country significantly strengthened and achieved economic growth, largely due to the absence of enemy attacks.
The royal tomb was discovered in the south-western part of the temple with various artifacts of the sixteenth century.
For a detailed study and obtaining more accurate information, the discovered fragments were transferred to the laboratory to foreign colleagues and to the Research Institute of the National Museum of Georgia.
