Pankisi Gorge
Akhmeta municipality of Georgia, the upper reaches of the Alazani River, it is here that the Pankisi Gorge is located.
Habitually, Georgia evokes associations with the Christian religion, so this place is a separate story. A kind of enclave, a state within a state. Most of the population in the territory are Chechens. They have lived here since the 19th century.
The central large settlement is the village of Duisi. There is a mosque here, a lot of housing is rented out - for visitors, vacationers.
The gorge is famous for the wondrous beauty of nature, special national cuisine.
