Svaneti – the land of a thousand towers
Svaneti is one of the beautiful but harsh regions of northwestern Georgia.
Svaneti is divided by a mountain range into Upper and Lower. The most famous among tourists has acquired Upper Svaneti and the resort village of Mestia.
Noisy waterfalls, stately mountains, their snow-capped peaks, blooming meadows, the purest mountain rivers, protected virgin forests, delicious mountain air, friendly locals. They go to Svaneti for this.
Svaneti is considered the edge of a thousand towers. The watchtowers of the X-XVI centuries have been preserved here to our times.
Upper Svaneti is protected by the UNESCO World Organization and is included in the World Heritage lists.
