Food Agency Suspends Operations at Facilities in Tbilisi, Adjara and Shida Kartli
In a statement published by Commersant on 30 October 2026, the National Food Agency said it suspended production at a ready-meals facility in Tbilisi, a restaurant in Adjara and two illegal poultry slaughterhouses in Shida Kartli.
The Tbilisi facility had a repeated critical sanitary violation and meat without veterinary supervision. The agency cited a GEL 5,000 sanction for a repeated violation. The slaughterhouses lacked economic activity registration and agency approval.
