Shio Aragvispireli Memorial House-Museum
- Description
The Shio Aragvisspireli Memorial House-Museum was founded in 1957 and is now closed to the public. This museum, located on Giorgi Chubinashvili Street N13a in Tbilisi, is part of the Tbilisi Association of Museums and is recognized as a cultural heritage monument. The famous Georgian writer Shio Aragvisspireli (1902-1926) lived here along with his wife, the famous pediatrician Mariam Bakradze. The house-museum was a meeting place for famous Georgian public figures and writers who actively participated in the development of the country during the period of its first independence (1918-1921). Following the completion of restoration work in 2019, the architectural features and authenticity of this historical site were fully preserved.
