The Niko Pirosmanashvili House-Museum is located right in the city center, making it easily accessible to visitors. The museum represents the house where the famous artist lived and immerses visitors in the atmosphere of that time. On the ground floor there is a gallery with reproductions of his paintings, and the upper floors are occupied by residents.
Of particular interest is the basement where Pirosmanashvili spent the last two years of his life. It was from this house that the artist, who was sick with the Spanish flu, was taken first to the hospital and then to the cemetery.
The basement of the museum, called "the smallest museum in the world", consists of Pirosmani's room and an exhibition hall. The artist entered the room through a separate door leading to the courtyard. The original furnishings have not been preserved, but in the museum you can see bedspreads brought from his home in the village of Mirzaani.

The only painting here is a copy of the famous “Actress Margarita,” the original of which is kept in the National Gallery on Rustaveli Avenue.
The exhibition hall presents a variety of portraits of Niko, among which the works of Lado Gudiashvili, a younger contemporary of Pirosmani, are especially noteworthy. Here, visitors are shown a 15-minute film about the life and work of Pirosmanashvili in Georgian, English and Russian.
The caretakers of the museum are friendly and pleasant people, ready to tell you about the life and work of Niko Pirosmanashvili. Be sure to stop by here to feel the spirit of the great artist and immerse yourself in his world.
