A small church stands in Zghuderi village in the west of Shida Kartli. Locally it is called just that, the small one: the building is modest and holds only a few people.
Zghuderi lies south of Kareli, in the hills above the Kura valley. A church of the Virgin with a tower stands half a kilometre to the east, and Imerkhevi and Dzadzvi with their own shrines are scattered along the neighbouring valleys.
Access is free at any time. Modest clothing is appropriate, and candles and offerings are left in their places.
