The church of St. George stands at Dzadzvi near Zghuderi village in the west of Shida Kartli. The name of the area has stayed with the church more firmly than the name of the village.
The Dzadzvi monastery of the same area stands a kilometre away, and the village of Imerkhevi with its church begins a couple of kilometres off. The area lies south of Kareli, in the wooded spurs above the Kura valley.
Regular services may not be held, and the church can be approached at any time. The roads here are unpaved, so dry weather makes the drive easier.
