The monastery near Vedreba village is dedicated to the Nativity of the Virgin, and a church of the same name stands within it. The community is small and lives by its own routine.
The area lies south of Kareli, in the hills above the Kura valley. The Kintsvisi monastery, one of the best known houses of the region, stands a kilometre and a half away.
The usual monastic rules apply here: covered shoulders and knees, and quiet. Photography and attending services are best agreed with the residents.
