The church of the Mother of God stands in Lamiskana village of Kaspi Municipality. It is one of the shrines of a large village where the parish is still alive.
Lamiskana lies north of Kaspi, beyond the Kura valley, in the hills. The village also has a church of St. George and the Ivlita chapel, and two village churches stand nearby in Okami.
Regular services may not be held, and the church can be approached at any time. Modest clothing is appropriate, and candles and offerings are left in their places.
