The church of the Mother of God stands near Bozhami village in the east of Shida Kartli. It is known by the name of the local area, Benisi, and that name has stayed with it.
The area lies north of Kaspi, in the hills above the right bank of the Kura. The churches of Lamiskana and Pantiani stand nearby, so the surroundings make up a short route of village churches.
Regular services may not be held, and the church can be approached at any time. Modest clothing is appropriate, and candles and offerings are left in their places.
